ALLERGEN INFORMATION
The Skin Biome+ Deodorant is made with natural ingredients, but natural does not automatically mean hypoallergenic. Please review the full ingredient list carefully before use, particularly if you have known sensitivities. If you’ve experienced the initial reaction, we recommend checking out our FAQs for information on transition period.
Fragrance and Essential Oils
The fragrance in this deodorant is 100% essential-oil based. There are no synthetic fragrance compounds. The individual components you may notice on the ingredient list (names ending in -ol, -ene, -ate, and similar) are naturally occurring fragrance constituents that are required to be declared by law. They are not added separately.
Potential sensitivities in this category include:
- Lemon Oil Cold Pressed, a natural citrus essential oil
- Lavandula Angustifolia Oil (Lavender Oil)
- Limonene, a naturally occurring component of citrus and lavender oils (listed twice in the ingredient list as it appears in multiple ingredient sources)
- Linalool, found naturally in lavender and many other plants
- Linalyl Acetate, a naturally occurring ester found in lavender oil

If you have a known sensitivity to any of the above, please check the full ingredient list carefully before use.
Prebiotics and Plant Extracts
The formula contains a number of plant-derived prebiotic and botanical ingredients that may cause reactions in rare cases:
- Inulin, a natural prebiotic fibre derived from plants such as chicory
- Hydrolyzed Gardenia Florida Extract, a prebiotic derived from the calyxes of red kapok tree flowers
- Bombax Costatum Flower Extract, derived from the silk cotton tree
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera)

- Fructose, a naturally occurring plant sugar
Oils
- Brassica Oleracea Seed Oil (Kale Seed Oil), from the cruciferous plant family
- Brassica Oleracea Italica Seed Oil (Broccoli Seed Oil), also from the cruciferous plant family
If you have a known sensitivity to cruciferous plants (such as broccoli, kale, mustard, or rapeseed), please take care.
Preservatives
The formula uses two approved cosmetic preservatives to maintain product safety and stability:
- Sodium Benzoate
- Potassium Sorbate
These are widely used in cosmetics and food products and are considered safe for topical use at the levels used in this formula. However, in rare cases some individuals may be sensitive to benzoates.
Humectants and Emollients
- Glycerin, a humectant derived from plant sources
- Pentylene Glycol, a plant-derived moisturising agent and mild preservative
- Propanediol Dicaprylate/Caprate, a plant-derived emollient
- Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, a plant-derived emulsifier
Sodium Bicarbonate (Bicarb)
Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) is used in this formula to help gently adjust the skin's pH environment. A small number of people find that sodium bicarbonate can cause irritation or a rash with prolonged use, particularly those with sensitive skin or certain skin conditions. If you experience any discomfort, redness, or rash, discontinue use and consult a skincare professional.
